This has happened to me too all you have to do is go to account settings then cluck on the link that says notifacations then you will see they have it organized by friends comments just scroll down to photos then you will see someone comments after me on a photo just uncheck okkk

have you installed any updates recently because if you have it could be blocking the program from connecting to the internet or it may be that your anti virus program has tuned on a firewall - go to start windows firewall settings once on there right click and select settings. then select exceptions and add pisca to the list

check service or service provider for size of files allowed to transfer, then figure out size of images, yahoo allowed 10mb file limit, you can attach set up to limit, then make new email for more,
if image is larger that limit as a tiff or raw file, you can try compressing in zip file, you can also put several images into one zip file,
another method is to upload zip file to file sharing site like rapidshare and send other user notice to pickup images at link,

After clicking "get started" you will get to a page that has instructions on how the system works. When you are done reading, click on "continue to yahoo photos."
Once you have finished the download (it took under a minute for me) there will always be a small menu when you are writing an e-mail, so that you can easily insert photos into your mail. The limit is about 300 photos, from your clipart, a camera, the internet, your scanner, your documents... anywhere.
After you have written your e-mail, and clicked send, you will need to wait while the photos are downloaded. This takes about 30 seconds for me, sometimes less. The pictures are small in the e-mail that is recieved, but the reciever can double-click on the image to enlarge it. Also, you can write short captions for each photo.

The last version of Yahoo I had allowed me to insert photos directly into the body of my email. You could actually see the photo thumbprints and organize, rotate etc. I seemed to have lost that with this new version. There are certain things that you can do in order to protect your email address from spammers, such as:

There are certain things that you can do in order to protect your email address from spammers, such as:

Why do all pics i receive in email go into photos and attachments, and how do I delete them?

Need to know how to save important yahoo folders before attempting reformat. I have Windows XP. I have never tried this before.. I am totally green. Once you compose your message, click on {attach files}, this takes you to a page where you Browse for photos, click on {browse}, then once you locate your pictures, you click {attach files}.
They should be located up by the top of your message below the subject line...You won't physically see the pictures, just the file name %26amp; size of the file.

Different things seem to work for different people. I think what the other answerer was trying to suggest is a DATA Cable. You can purchase one specific for your phone for around $30. You would plug the cable into the USB port on your computer and connect to your phone to transfer files. Or, IF your phone is Bluetooth capable, you can purchase a Bluetooh Dongle at any electronics store for around $40 which would also be plugged into the USB port on your computer to transfer your files wirelessly. A good alternative is "incredimail", it has lots of fun features and allows embedding of pics in the mail body. If your pics are too big for embedding, it automatically reduces the size!

I use Firefox (rather than Explorer) and am wondering if that's why I can no longer insert photos directly along with text. Has this option been eliminated? Something I read somewhere talked about Flickr but I found that program to be extremely user UNfriendly. Does anyone have a suggestion? Thanks!

I cant give you a solution but I can tell you that my friend has a similar problem with her v3 phone. She has never been able to send or receive pictures by mms or email. Shes been on to her network and they do stuff to make it work but it still doesn't. She was told in the end that it was a fault with her phone. Maybe you have the same problem?? Hopefully not though. How in the world does a person delete or move photos from their yahoo email, where it says search shortcuts?

I don't really see how that will make a lot of money, since that person could then, very easily, email that image to everyone and you loose out on residual sales. I think you best option is going to be to sell real prints. Sure, someone could scan it and then email it to everyone, but most people don't want to go through the trouble of doing it. Plus, any digital image that will be good enough (as in file quality) to print will have to be so huge that it could take an hour for those on dial-up (and yes there are still people on dial-up) to get it.

CafePress will allow you to sell photos, calendars, mugs, shirts, etc. with your image on it, prices vary between $4.99 to $17.99. The section for prints and greeting cards is:

The programs that I have for my photos are Windows Photo Gallery, Paint and Microsoft Office Picture Manager.....When I send people pics thru email they always comment that they are very huge and I need to resize them to a smaller size. Thanks for the help!

you need to resize your images.. (by percentage) i use an 8m olympus.. and i resize them by 70% its still a biggish image, and runs at about 500k
and sorry crazy, youre so wrong... use the MAXIMUM setting on yor camera, then shrink it in your PC... a 240x130 image might look good on a mobile phone... but its almost useless for anythng else...
Reply:adobe photoshop or when you know you are going to only email the pics lower the megapixels in your camera to the smallest. They will still look good when they open the file

How can I add alot of big photos directly to an email now that Yahoo has cancelled their "My Photos" program?
I must add photos directly to an email when composing - just like I used to. I must add large photos - over 5.5 mb per photo. And I don't want to be limited to just being able to put one or two photos into an email. I used to be able to put 12 and even more of these large file photos on a single email without any problem. The FlickR thing that Yahoo directed me to is awful - the people I send photos to using FlickR can't just open the email up and see all the pics - they are actually asked to sign up. Who's gonna do that? If somebody can't do it in a couple of seconds, they just don't bother. There must be a way to get this done just as good as it used to work. Please help me find a way to do this where I don't have to give up any of the convenience I used to have. Thanks - Tom

Why sometimes when I get an email with photos they do not come over?
Maybe your browser is too slow. Or maybe its because Yahoo's been experiencing technical glitches these past days hun. You're not the only one experiencing such problems. Let's just cross our fingers and hope that Yahoo fixes these system bugs before it gets any worse.^^,

it keeps coming up with the following message:
The host 'SMTP' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly. Account: 'POP3', Server: 'SMTP', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D
Being as computer illiterate as i am, I have no idea as to how to go about checking these settings. can anyone help???

sounds like ure trying to use yahoo through outlook and u can only do that by upgrading to mail plus for $20/yr or u could be using gmail if so delete it and add it agin but this time use the imap and not the pop3 (gmail has both and the pop3 doesn't play well with outlook and the imap works fine and yes i know the smtp is the outgoing but it's running through the pop3)

Click on properties on the right hand side and another window will open with the POP3 settings. Click on the servers tab and make sure they are correct.

Also check the advanced tab and make sure the "this server requires a secure connection (SSL)" is not checked.
