I receive many email attachments, mostly photos, I am unable to open.?

I receive an empty box where the image should be and in the upper left corner is a smaller box, the smaller box contains a red square, a light blue circle, and a dark blue triangle.


Can anyone tell me what file extension this is and what I need to do to be able to open these attachments?

I think that symbol is for bitmaps, which means your computer cannot read them !
